Milaan, a non-profit organization, aims to educate, enable, and empower children and young people, especially adolescent girls in rural India. We believe in the power of every individual to be a changemaker in their own lives and the communities they come from. Through our various educational and leadership building programs, we identify, incubate, and invest in adolescents from marginalised backgrounds to challenge social barriers for education locally. We additionally consolidate local voices to strengthen advocacy platforms that empower and amplify the voices of adolescent girls nationally as well as globally. Over the last 10 years, Milaan has worked with over 18,000 beneficiaries and advocated for safer and more inclusive spaces for them at various state and national forums. Milaan is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer to lead the next phase of its growth and impact.
