About the Internship : The internship is concerned with analyzing some busy locality in your hometown, analyse it by doing ground research and propose and implement a valid and feasible solution for the same. What you need to do in the Internship ? Identify a location that is an area with huge traffic problems/large number of accidents in your hometown. Do a proper analysis of the locality and identify the Road Safety concerns. Submit a report which must have both the problems you identified and a realistic solution to solve the issue. Meet with concerned authorities and discuss the extent of the problem and the feasibility of the solution. Get the solution implemented at the ground level with help of the authorities . Indian Road Safety Campaign is working towards making Indian roads safer. It is a youth led campaign, an initiative of IIT Delhi; moving towards the mission of reducing accidents by half across India. This is one of the most serious issue leading to various deaths daily and thus to combat this problem, by bringing not only awareness related /policy level changes but also technical changes, we started the campaign. We started as a project under National Service Scheme, IIT Delhi and currently have grown to be a youth led organization with help Transport Research and Injury Prevention Program operating in 20+ colleges like IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, BITS Pilani, DTU, SRCC etc. on our board. We are also associated with 50+ schools and various NGOs like Arrive Safe, Safe Road Foundation etc. There are various methodologies like awareness, internships, workshops and competitions through which we have been able to sensitize and impact 100,000+ people and work presently in 35+cities and 7+ states.
