We are looking for intern students with knowledge and expertise in programming & developing virtual reality (VR) interfaces aimed at training and vocational education. The ideal student should have expertise in C# and android studio. The student should have also developed VR applications, although not mandatory for exceptional students. Interested students are requested to send their resume, web site link (if any), and work samples (online mode preferred) to showcase the work. We will remunerate students during 2 months of internship starting from 1st week of May. The student will work with designers and effectively collaborate with them for quality deliverable. The students will also learn research techniques, quantitative and statistical evaluation methods during the internship. The project name is Pragati. The project is jointly sponsored by MHRD and Microsoft Research Labs, India. The prospective intern will work at Embedded Interaction Lab (EILab) which is an applied research lab working in HCI, with special focus on technology for social innovation. The lab has expertise in novel and natural interaction methods - mainly gestural interfaces and tangible interfaces. Founded by Dr. Keyur Sorathia, Associate Professor in the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, the lab currently focuses its research in the areas of Virtual Reality and Flexible Displays.
