The Director Datacenter participates with other senior managers to establish tactical and strategic plans and objectives. Makes decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations achievements are effective. Responsible for highly complex assignments requiring evaluation of multiple intangible factors. Develops and designs techniques and criteria for obtaining results. Errors have critical impact on the overall success of functional, division or company operations. Uses highly developed negotiation skills to resolve controversial situations, customer negotiations, and influence/persuade senior management. Directs activities of one or several broad functional areas for revenue; customer relationship management; budget planning; implementing and maintaining costs, methods, and employees. Responsibilities: Managing a team of Managers, Team Leads , Associates and Subject Matter Experts. He/she will be responsible to provide and influence life cycle management and oversite of processes, technology and operations for Global Technical Operations (GTO) Center of Excellence (CoE) group, including direct responsibility for day to day operations and service ownership, Data Center best practices and technology innovation, and business support required for specific technical engagements. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and delivers executive presentations & reports to customers, outlining findings and recommendations. Evaluates customers business mission, objectives and requirements. Oversees the development and implementation of total integrated systems solutions to customers business problems. Ensures customer goals and local service operation goals are accomplished while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. Consults with customers on development, negotiation, and implementation of solutions & proposals. Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers. Manages any personnel or discipline issues that may arise. Controls hiring and terminations as needed. Provides training, coaching, and counseling to subordinate managers and/or individual contributors for continuous improvement throughout the systems integration function. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Requires 10+ years of experience in IT & 7+ years or more years of Managerial experience in Datacenter space and Bachelors degree, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience and strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills. SPECIALITY Should have very good administration experience in UNIX-Solaris/AIX, LINUX, Windows Server, VMWare, Microsoft Exchange products, and/or Application Support and worked in a 24/7 support environment. Should have specific experience with design or management of Datacenter operations, including virtualization, orchestration, operational excellence and high availability, and effective vendor/partner management to assure cost effective solutions Should have experience of project delivery in all aspects of the Operations Lifecycle Management for the introduction of outsourcing or managed support services specifically IT Service Management & ITIL service delivery framework. Should have Commercial experience in the management of p&l , projects to budgetary constraints and where effective commercial change control has been incorporated
