Embedded Engineer

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Demonstrates proficient knowledge and utilization of engineering tools necessary for successful performance of the essential functions of this job description 2. Must demonstrate proficiency and possess experience necessary to develop moderately complex software in C, C++, or assembly language, or other selected languages, operating systems (RTOS, Windows, Linux, Android), 3. Solid understanding of design patterns, data structures and advanced programming techniques 4. Experience with version control systems such as git, tfs or svn 5. Experience/knowledge in developing customer centric applications in a multi-platform, distributed infrastructure preferred. This will include developing applications for tablets, desktops, embedded computers, cloud based systems (AWS, Azure, etc.), 6. Demonstrates mastery of relevant software engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, simulators and logic analyzers) 7. Candidate can learn quickly and is excited by discovery and innovation 8. Creates design and details documentation related to daily work and research. 9. Creates and designs prototype hardware using different micro-controllers, sensors. 10. Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques. 11. Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems
