About the Internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Studying the policies regulating manufacturing inclusivity in healthcare including composite knowledge that can lead to affordability and access to all 2. Assisting with a variety of tasks and learn under close mentorship of accomplished scientists / senior engineers 3. Reviewing applicable technologies to gain insights into high-value addition, affordability, and accessibility to deliver to all strata of society What would intern learn in this internship? Other than providing short-term exposure to with inter-disciplinary policy views for real-world problems, this internship will provide an opportunity for young talent to associate with IMF's activities for mutual benefit and encourage young graduates to understand government functioning, regulatory, developmental policy issues, and contribute in its formulation, amendments if required, by generating input through critical analysis, review social issues and policies. Appreciating its pertinence to future, NIAS is organising Inclusive Manufacturing Forum (IMF) with the focus of enabling product making and/or processes that fulfil basic needs such as food, water, clothing, housing, and healthcare across rural to peri-urban pockets. The anticipation is IMF'18 will be an influential platform for intense deliberations towards directing policies for empowerment stakeholders in six critical areas namely sustainable agriculture, affordable health care, renewable energy, water & sanitation and craft & small size manufacturing.
