The students of premier grad schools like IITs and tribal youth abuzz with traditional wisdom are working together for Holistic Rural Development. Halma 2023 is a mass movement for environment conservation where 40,000 villagers from 1500 villages in Jhabua, Rajasthan and Gujarat will come together for environment conservation and dig 1,00,000 contour trenches to solve water scarcity. About Halma Internship, 2023: 1. A holistic opportunity to engage with the tribal community and explore how thousands of villagers are coming together to solve environmental crisis. 2. Work along with the social leaders of the movement and learn the model process of sustainable development. 3. Food and accommodation will be provided. Shivganga is a non-profit & voluntary organization working for Holistic Rural Development in Jhabua. In the last 15 years, a remarkable impact has been made in terms of Community Empowerment, Water Conservation, Social-Entrepreneurship, Vocational Training, Plantation, and Livelihood generation. To experience this unfolding change, every year hundreds of students from eminent institutes like IITs, IIMs, NITIE, TISS Mumbai, etc visit Jhabua. Shivganga has a team of social-entrepreneurs consisting of both tribal and premier grad-school youths. Shri Mahesh Sharma (President Shivganga) has been awarded Padma Shri by the President of India in 2019. Shivganga is the only social organization to win the National Water Mission Award by Jal Shakti Ministry GOI, for exemplary work in water conservation.
