SOURCING INTERN

Job Title: Sourcing International vendor Intern Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Sourcing Intern to support our team in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers. The ideal candidate will assist in market research, supplier evaluation, and managing supplier data. This role is perfect for someone with strong research skills and a keen interest in procurement or supply chain management. KEY AREA OF WORK • Vendor Evaluation and Selection: • Evaluate vendors based on production capabilities, quality, compliance, and financial stability. • Assess vendor reputation, references, and past performance. • Negotiation and Contracting: • Negotiate terms, pricing, lead times, and payment conditions. • Draft and finalize contracts with focus on quality, confidentiality, and compliance. • Relationship Management: • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors. • Regularly communicate to ensure alignment on expectations and performance. • Act as liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders. • Data Management and Reporting: • Maintain records of vendor agreements, pricing, and performance metrics. • Prepare reports on vendor performance and cost savings. • Use software to upload on website and track sourcing activities and optimize processes. • Continuous Improvement: • Stay updated on global sourcing trends and new markets. • Diversify the supply base by seeking new vendors or markets. • Continuously refine sourcing strategies to align with company goals. Qualifications: • Strong analytical and communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Detail-oriented with an ability to work independently.
